Process Group Inc. was founded in April 1988 as Process Mechanical Installation (PMI).

The business grew from a seed, practicing on the strengths of 3 Partners who had accumulated extensive experience and credentials in industrial installations with a focus on Millwright and Rigging.

  • As its experience and capacity continued to grow, Process added other business units to their core business.
  • Electrical was the first area of expansion, providing support to compliment the services of Millwright and Rigging.Machinery moving, plant installation, relocation, service and maintenance now included Power and Control wiring to the list. The electrical division traded under Process Electric and Controls (PEC).
  • Next to be added, were cranes and boom trucks. This service trades as Process Crane Services (PCS) and provides crane rental to the areas of South Western Ontario, as well as servicing larger and long duration projects for the PMI division.
  • In keeping with the growing needs of the Company, Process Custom Fabrication (PCF) was created to provide custom fabrication to PMI for project and service work, and also to become self-sustaining and filling the needs of their own clientele.
  • In the early 2,000’s the name of Process Group Inc. was adopted to better reflect the Industrial Service Solution being offered by the Company.
  • In 2004 we relocated our facilities to broaden our capabilities, moving to a 53,000 sq ft building located on 13 Acres of prime real estate adjacent to the main arterial link of Highway 401.
  • Shortly after this move, we set ourselves aside from many of our competitors by adding the Process Systems Integration (PSI) link to our chain. Our Engineers, Controls Designers and Field Technicians enhanced our position in the market, allowing high end participation in turnkey contracting, from concept to push button ready.
  • To round the services of PSI and the balance of Process Group, the Process Panel Shop (PPS) was created and grew into its own dedicated Cambridge shop location, for the design and manufacture of electrical control panels.
  • Today, Process Group Inc. proudly encompasses the 6 business units mentioned as well as Process Technical Services (PTS), the 7th unit that provides Industrial Construction Management to these remaining units.
  • Process Group Inc. is now industry’s single source end to end supplier of engineering, procurement, construction and maintenance services to manufacturing plants, process equipment vendors, engineering firms and industrial design builders for specialized services in production equipment and process system installations.
  • Our teaming approach has fostered business relationships throughout Canada and the USA and kept us current with the needs of industry today.
